The Brewchive® is a comprehensive archive of San Diego county's brewing activity from personal and business aspects. The archives hold evidence in a wide variety of forms from individuals, breweries, organizations, and affiliated businesses involved primarily with beer, but also cider, mead, and kombucha.

CSUSM’s five different student newspapers reflect the daily life and activities of campus life as documented by its student journalists. The papers have been digitized and are a vital repository of our university’s culture, history, and intellectual life. 

The Paul Ecke Ranch, Inc. Business Records and Family Papers are over 700 boxes of records pertaining to the Ecke Ranch and Ecke family. The Eckes developed one of our region’s important footholds in floriculture and popularized the idea of the poinsettia as a holiday flower. Visit Voices of North County to learn about the lived experiences of North County residents. These important primary sources include the diverse voices and perspectives of activists, artists, brewery workers, educators, immigrants, politicians, veterans, and more.

The Dan Rios papers contain an estimated 1,000,000 images related to North San Diego County and farther afield, including its people, places, and the events that make our region unique! You can see a curated exhibit of Dan’s photography of the people of North County in the Library Administration office.

The Cougars Affordable Learning Materials Program (CALM) is part of the CSU Affordable Learning Solutions initiative started in 2010. CALM aims to aid faculty in replacing costly textbooks with lower cost alternatives by using high-quality, open education.

Let’s set the scene: It’s the spring semester. Heat waves ripple throughout campus, and you have a gap between classes with nowhere to sit in the shade. You find a spot under a tree, but don’t want to sit directly on the ground. Defeated, you walk away.
